How It All Started
Fresh out of high school, I was taking classes at my local community college and working a part-time job—but I had no real direction. One evening, my mom had a neck ache, and like many times before, I had her sit in front of the couch while I massaged her neck. As I worked, we talked about my future. I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I knew three things:
- I wanted to help people
- I didn’t want to sit behind a desk
- I wanted to work outside
That conversation led me to massage therapy, something I knew little about at the time. But after researching it, I knew it was the right fit. More than 25 years later, I’ve never looked back.
My Experience & Passion
For over 25 years, I’ve helped people relieve pain and move better with simple, effective self-care techniques. As a Licensed Massage Therapist in Oregon since 2001, I have provided more than 24,000 hours of hands-on massage and spent countless hours learning, training, and refining my skills.
I’ve seen firsthand how small daily habits can make a big difference in how we feel. While professional massage is powerful, self-massage and movement can be just as effective—without the time or cost of regular appointments.
I believe self-care shouldn’t be complicated or time-consuming. By incorporating easy massage techniques, movement, and red light therapy into daily life, anyone can feel better without extra effort.
Now, I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned. My goal is to make self-care simple and accessible so you can relieve pain, improve mobility, and feel your best every day.
Why Self-Massage & Movement Matter
According to the American Psychological Association, 72% of adults experience stress-related health issues. Many turn to unhealthy coping methods, but there are simple, effective ways to reduce stress and improve how you feel—like self-massage, movement, and body awareness.
For years, I have told my clients:
“Stress is the worst disease anyone has. It’s hard to escape, and it’s often self-inflicted.”
Less than 20% of adults get regular massages, leaving millions without relief. But self-massage and movement techniques can bridge that gap, helping people feel better without spending hours or hundreds of dollars on professional care.
What You’ll Learn with Me
I’m here to show you how to take control of your body in a way that fits your life. Whether you’re dealing with everyday aches, stress, or simply want to move better, I’ll teach you:
✔ Self-Massage Techniques – Using simple tools or household items
✔ Movement Strategies – For those who don’t know where to start
✔ General Therapeutics & Benefits – So you can understand what your body needs
✔ Mindset & Challenges – Because small daily habits lead to big changes
You don’t need a professional massage to feel better. With the right approach, self-care is enough. I’ll show you how.
A Little More About Me
Beyond massage and movement, I’m a wife of 18 years, a mom to two beautiful girls (14 & 10), and a follower of Jesus. I’ve lived in Southern Oregon since I was 2 and love being outdoors.
My family and I love traveling and spending time together. I also enjoy learning, exercising, and spending time in the sunshine. I have a passion for organizing, decluttering, and encouraging others. My teenage daughter would tell you I know nothing about fashion, hair, or makeup—but I’m okay with that.
I’m real, open, and passionate about helping others move better and feel better—without adding stress to their lives.
Make Movement Happen,
Holly Smith
